Hi there,

not sure who else uses chat messengers as I do, however, just wanna tell you about the pidgin messenger.

Years ago I started with ICQ, still alot of buddies there. But the more advertising was in ICQ the more i disliked it. And more + new friends started to use yahoo messenger, msn messenger, AOL messenger etc.

I was annoyed to install many different messengers for one purpose only, have a chat from time to time with friends. So finally I ended up with pidgin. It's a multi protocol messenger, able to connect to different chat protocols.

Now I see all my buddies from ICQ, yahoo and now also facebook in one place, without the need for opening facebook in a browser. It is free software, no advertisements, no bells and whistles, just doing what I want it for, to open a chat window.
